Responsibilities

EW Analyst to work as a Wireless SME for Army Vulnerability Assessment at INSCOM 1st IO Command on Fort Belvoir.  Develops structured, iterative processes executed by trained, educated and practiced team members that provides commanders an independent capability to continuously challenge plans, operations, concepts, organizations and capabilities in the context of the operational environment and from our partners' and adversaries' perspectives.

  • Operate all assigned electronic warfare equipment.
  • Conduct wireless vulnerability assessments and exploit wireless networks of assessed organizations.
  • Provide innovative recommendations for threat mitigation by isolating, blocking, or removing threat access and evaluating system security configurations.
  • Perform regular public speaking roles.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and develop training materials and products.
  • Assess new technology, software applications, and devices relevant to Information Operations (IO).
  • Gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process into briefings, papers, or reports.

Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge of RF theory and radio wave propagation in regards to 802.11 and cellular technology protocols from GSM, UMTS, CDMA, and LTE.
  • Need to be able to immediately achieve Information Assurance Technical Level I (DoD 8570) compliance. (Example certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)
  • Will be required to attain IAT Level II compliance after hire. (Example certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required
  • ARCYBER experience is desirable
  • Linux and code writing highly desired
  • Masters + 1 years OR Bachelors + 2 years of experience OR 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in military Electronic Warfare and Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), with how they integrate with Information Operations preferred
  • Division and below planning experience is strongly preferred
  • TRADOC teaching experience preferred
  • Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) EW equipment experience preferred (examples Airmagnet, Silica, Kismet, Raspberry Pi's, general CISCO and NETGEAR Access Points (routers) Pineapple devices by HAK5)
