CEM Analysts must possess the ability to analyze data and information derived from Captured Exploitable Material (CEM) to develop intelligence assessments. Analysts will be responsible for leveraging all-source intelligence disciplines to characterize devices of interest (phones, tablets, computers, etc.) to better understand user activity. Additionally, CEM analysts will analyze user-generated data and metadata from devices to support the development of targeting leads and build networks for further analysis. Analysts are responsible for providing intelligence analysis respective to all aspects of Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) and Cellular Device Exploitation (CELLEX) as part of an analytical team. CEM Analysts should be able to demonstrate a foundational understanding of how devices work, and how to integrate CEM data into social network analyses. Finally, CEM analysts will be required to understand basic targeting skills and leverage a comprehensive understanding of the operational cycle as well as the data, tools, and techniques used for each phase of targeting represented in the F3EAD cycle.
This section provides analytical support to Collected Enemy Material (CEM) operations. Needs to have a strong working knowledge of the F3EA cycle and be able to speak to each part in depth. Needs to be able to demonstrate logical and critical thinking. Needs to have deployment experience working as an analyst as well as relevant SOF / CT experience. Experience collaborating and exchanging with intelligence organizations preferred. Experience working with CEM / SSE / SITEX / CELL EX etc. as an analyst preferred but not as a collector. Ability to communicate effectively. Proficiency in utilizing intelligence related automation and basic computer applications with an understanding of when and how to leverage the tools listed in resume. Will deploy ~120 days every 12-18 months
